never give up

Don’t give up

“So lose not heart, nor fall into despair: For ye must gain mastery if ye are true in Faith.” (Aal-e-Imran, Chapter #3, Verse #139)

This verse was revealed to the Companions of the Prophet (Peace be upon him) after the Battle of Uhud when they lost 70 of the companions in that battlefied. It’s an uplifting, encouraging verse telling the Muslim to keep going and not to despair nor lose heart, but rather to be true to their faith to their last breath.
Each person in life has their fair share of failure, but the difference between people is their subsequent reaction. Some rebound quickly and gain new heights, and others stay low never daring to venture again.

The verse above is a call to all the believers not to lose heart but to get up and be productive after a set back because that’s a sign of faith.

Reflection and Renewing our Islam

“Verily, I constantly renew my Islâm until this very day, as up to now, I do not consider myself to have ever been a good Muslim.” [Ibn Taymiyyah]

i miss arabic so much

English Language Center (ELC) Cultural Exchange event today was interesting!
There's a lot of students and professors sharing their background stories and brought international food.
We were given handout with questions and asked to mingle around. For example : find someone who speak more than three language, share same favorite sport, enjoy classical music , playing musical instrument etc.

There's a lot of both intern and American students. My previous Arabic professor took his entire class students to the event. Also, its good to know ELC staffs. Unfortunately, there's more male than female participating. Well, its RIT anyway.=)

I'm having fun knowing new people. A guy introduced himself from Panama. Huh? where on the globe is that?
Only after he mentioned Survivor show filmed there twice, I remembered hearing the name.

And i realized what I missed the most:
Arabic!
Meet my ustaz again after several months and how I miss him teaching damn much.
A guy with beard named Khalid speaks Arabic with me and I was like, wow! I must be forgetting many words and terms after long break. Too bad.

My heart says :
''You have two options ; whether live in an invisible globe or take the opportunity which could benefit yourself and help giving back to others. By the end of senior year, I am seeing myself an independent woman ready for challenges laying front''

Actually I was there to advertise new club, International Women of the World (IWOW). Recently awarded as Best New Club by RIT Student Goverment. Gotta put a lot of effort in this club. I might not be the best but I would put my commitment to something if I were given responsibility.

p/s watched 'Unknown' movie last night and it reminded me to my plan travelling to Germany. Be ready host.=)

red tulip

Dengan nama ALLAH yang Maha Pemurah lagi Maha Mengasihani,

Pagi yang indah ini sgt menenangkan, lagi tenang hati bila tengok bunga2 yg bru dibeli =D
Someone asked me yesterday,
''why are you wanna explode?''
then i realized my ym status was set as 'feel like exploding'.

It was rainy, and a bit of snow shower that day,
and my friend was complaining my driving skill,
i was like,
''can you please shut up while i'm driving?''
the road was too slippery and i just cant stop on time,
not that i purposely disobey the rule or whatnot,
not that i'm asking to be fined by authority either.

later that day,
i forgave my friend (I'm so sorry) but not myself,
i was thinking,tukar mode bahasa

1. Wajib = dibuat dapat pahala, ditinggalkan berdosa, kedudukannya MESTI buat
2. Sunat = dibuat dapat pahala, ditinggalkan tak mengapa . kedudukannya ELOK buat
3. Haram = dibuat berdosa, ditinggalkan dapat pahala, kedudukannya MESTI tinggal
4. Makruh = ditinggalkan dapat pahala, dibuat tak mengapa, kedudukannya ELOK tinggalkan
5. Harus = dibuat atau ditinggalkan dosa tak dapat, pahala pun tak dapat.

What I'm trying to say?
Sebelum ini mgkin saya berfikir,
bagaimana nk mengubah org lain,
xperlu dan xckup pon semua tu,
diri sendiri dulu yg kna dipimpin.

Jadi,ini peringatan utk diri sendiri,
kalau nk sempurnakan aqidah, ibadah dan akhlak,
utamakan perkara terpenting : solat.
solat yang WAJIB
sedaya upaya jga mengajak org lain
terutama subuh
kalau tidak,terasa zalimnya diri
terasa selfish , xbertanggungjawab

bila dh sempurna perkara pertama yg akan dihisab kelak tu,
bru la bleh nk bercakap psl perkara yg lbh besar
mcm mengajak menutup aurat dgn lbh baik ke,
memakai tudung menutup dada dan lain2.
teringat waktu saya mngadu result exam truk,
shabat sya sebut; bgaimana aspek usaha belajar utk exam tu?
klau percampurannya xelok, hasilnya pon xbrapa nk sdapla.*tersentap di situ*
percampuran yg bgaimana?mari kta fikirkan.

somehow,
bila difikirkan,
kita tahu peraturan2 jalanraya tersebut,
cth, kna berhenti di STOP sign,
cuma kdgkala terleka 'mengelamun' xnmpk sign,
sehingga diingatkan oleh sahabat,
sama lah seperti syariat Islam,
kadangkala kita alpa terlupa,
waktu inilah peranan sahabat penting,
ingatkan.sama-sama memperingati.

xkisah walau bdk sekolah agama,
manusia ttap manusia,

bertudung sempurna hgga terbit rasa kehambaan,
hukum perempuan menari di khalayak ramai,

you know what i'm saying?
bila bnda fardhu dh diterima dan diamalkan sungguh2,
bru sng nk bercakap psl perkara2 yg lbh besar.
yg mnjadi tradisi yg sukar diubah.
well, level pengetahuan dan penerimaan manusia berbeza,
so we cant judge, i cant judge others,
first rule :  consider what we dont know.
their background and education.
their thinking and the way they view some things.

sebelum nk mengubah sesuatu,
ubah diri sendiri,
note to self: be the change you wanna see in others.
jgn nk mnunggu pemuda Islam bakal suami nk mengubah memimpin saya
ke arah kebahagiaan dunia akhirat,
kalau niat dlm hati nk berubah tu xda,*dush3*

Ilmu agama sahaja tdak ckup,
kefahaman&amalan tu penting.
Satu jiwa yg dpt diberi cahaya dan hidayah,
lebih mulia dari dunia dan isinya.

xtaula ke mana post ini nk berakhir,
cuma mncurahkan rasa hati.
cuma sahabat akhowat2 sekalian,
tegurlah kala ak silap,
marahlah jika ak lupa diri seorang muslimah,
tariklah ak semula didik rasa kehambaan,
ak bukan malaikat.

A world of thanks

Well, thanks a lot to those with big heart, donating to my friend, shahir saad. May you all be blessed insyallah.Current total is $243 which is pretty awesome.!! and I'm in process transferring them to paypal malaysia. Hope everything would be fine and hope I did the responsibility as best as I could.

A little sharing from ''Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus'' and Baba Ali(halfourdeen.com):
~a woman need listener. When she gets into problem (or she thinks its a problem while its not for others), what she need is someone to listen. Just be there and say nothing. For me,a good friend is the best person to lend her shoulder to cry on to. Yes, these sources (book and website) focusing on marriage relationship but hey, lets grab something we slipped our eyes at.All in all,we gonna get there too.

~A good listener is the one who comfort her and ready to listen. If you dont have words to make her feel good, please dont make thing worse. When a woman talking and babbling about 'problems',do not interrupt her with solutions. People say men is naturally problem-solving creature,so they tend to propose solutions before women even finished bursting her feeling out.= =
So, all you have to do is listen.

~While for a man, when he is stressed out, he need space. Space to reflect himself and what he had done. During this 'timeout', instead of misunderstood that he's ignoring the world, respect him and dont be mad.
Urgh, I'm not really know how to explain this either.hahaha

To be continued~
Thanks again.=)
