i am a full-time friend

It was dark and gloomy back then, and now it is raining heavily. I just stood silently trembling in the cold at the bus stop. Then a car stopped and kindly gave me a ride. Throughout the struggle, I managed to get to my desired destination safely. I just prayed may Allah bless him and give him hidayah.

Here I went. A halaqaa style gathering where we will listen to knowledgeable speakers on Islam and the vast knowledge that we can get from the AlQur'an and Sunnah.Deen and dine, dine means variety of pizzas of course=)

And yes,I never been to one before but I found it interesting. Kind of exciting to hear dakwah speech in english. Guys have jummuah khutbah so at least they got a reminder once a week, don't they?

The guest is Imam Masjid As-Sunnah,Imam Idrus. Topic:Brotherhood.Just wondering if I can scribble something here as a reminder for me.

~Allah obligate upon us to follow the scholars and imam.(e.g Imam Shafie',Imam Ahmad,Imam Hanafi etc)

~So,even we have our favorite imam,do not say bad things about the others who we dont take words from them.

~It is natural,a man cannot be alone,he must find companionship.(i am pretty sure we are focusing on cis-gender here)

~Beware to be friend with someone that take you away from Allah & Day ofJudgement.

~Be close to people who's near his Creator.

~If we love each other for money, business or school, sooner or later the bonding will fade or even break.

~But if we love a person for sake of Allah, the bonding will not cut off until the Day of Judgement.

~I dont want to be a person who bite his fingers on that day and said ''I wish I follow Prophet Muhammad p.b.u.h way of life, and I wish I dont be friend with someone who keep me away from zikrullah''

~There are 3 types of friend; they are like
1)medicine : sometimes we need him, other time we are not.

2)food/drink : we always need him.

3)disease : we never want him.Even though we may be tested with this type of people, just chill and deal it well.

~Brotherhood in Islam: they need each other like the need to have both hand to wash hands.

~It is easy to be friend with everyone, but it is hard to a find a true friend, a friend who together you strive for the sake of Allah. He is able to give anything he has to his friend,(wait, everything he owns?) must be hard to find one.

~A good friend tries to cover your mistakes and do not blow your secret.

~How to choose a friend? Make him angry one time and then, next time make him really angry and see how he deal with it.If he managed the situation good,do not let him go. He is the one.

I am not sure if I done good understanding this lecture but I do make a friend with a sister from nearby university last night.

We first met and chatting and giggling together. We have same cell phones and both of
us are second daughter in the family. We even speaking Arabic together (practicing). Now I have added one more sister to the list.

We are different. The way we dress, the language we speak, the way we perform solah (in aurat context). But I do believe some things happen for a reason. Allah brought us together. May the friendship lasts.

You never,ever gave up hope

Exam week was just passed, and I really enjoyed it today.

Today's weather was superb. It was a beautiful windy Friday. My heart just filled with lots of love.

Even though a bit 'overslept' to start a day,but then everything goes well.

All in all,3 three exams in 2 days were overwhelming. And I did terribly bad in one of them.gosh!

soooo bad than you thought though.probably mine was the lowest.

and because I do care about it, I have set-up a weekly one-to-one session with the prof. for the rest of the quarter.

sounds great,no?

i love it.i will have someone at my father's age to talk to.

i did pretty well in the other two,so those good news just blew away the sadness and disappointing moment of the week.

thank you Allah.Thank you mak ayah for your blessing and endless prayer.

Ohh lets add 5-7am working hours in the schedule too.peace~

A reminder

I accidentally found this and it makes me think and cant stop thinking.
Just want to share it so that we are aware of everything we should.

I do not know what to say, really. I have no chance to watch 'The Arrival' but I guess it probably the same conspiracy.
But I do believe they have strategies against Islam. That is for sure.

What do you guys think?

98days of summer

Assalamualaikum.Kaifa halukum?

Finally,I got the strength to sum up my summer experience. It was not '500days of summer' but more or less 98 days.Back to Malaysia after 9months...most of things stay the same but some really changed. And I meant it.

1) My arrival was 'welcomed' with shock. There are three deaths in the week and one of them is my mother's friend which happened to be my childhood teacher.I remembered her, she was beautiful and lovely.Fair-skin and healthy woman back then.

But,when I opened white cloth covered her face,my jaw dropped and suddenly tears rolled down my cheek. There was nothing looks like her at all.No outer skin but facial tissues. She suffered from antibiotic allergy.(I wonder if I learn anything like that in Bio class before). The antibiotic harmed her internal organs and burned her skin. So,the doctor had to removed the skin.I bet she had suffered too much. And it started from a normal fever medicine?.Ohh this is so unexpected.

I remember the face even now.I remember her five-years old daughter who cant recognized her mom's body and kept asking for her.I remember her newly-born daughter who is only 13months.Death will be anytime anywhere to anyone. That is for sure.I got to be prepared.May Allah bless her soul.

2)In Firaun's dynasty, boy babies were killed. In Jahiliyyah's time, girl babies were killed.Today, regardless of the gender, babies are killed almost everyday in the country. So,who is the cruelest one?

I bet people elsewhere do not have this 'culture'.It happens almost everyday and even death sentence is no scare.Ya Allah, please save Muslim's generation. This is so disgusting and such a shame.

I cant help myself but felt so sad.

But

I fall in love with children around me.They are so amazing! Such a gift.

Love them all.Thank you Allah.

persoalan gadis kecil

Seorang gadis kecil bertanya ayahnya “ayah ceritakanlah padaku perihal muslimah sejati?”

Berdasarkan ayat 31,surah An Nurr,Abdullah ibn abbas dan lain-lainya berpendapat.

“lantas apa lagi ayah?”sahut puteri kecil terus ingin tahu.

Bolehkah saya menjadi sepertinya?

new love

I felt Islam is even more beautiful tonight.

I keep watching on amazing Quran recitation and burst into tears.

And,

What came to my mind is that :

''well, now i really understand how a person appeals towards Islam after hearing the Quran verses.

No wonder even the fierce and persistent Saidina Umar Al-Khattab radiallahu anhu was defeated by the Quran recitation and converted into Islam.''

To refresh the story :

Umar came to the door (of the house of his sister) as Khabbab (a companion of the Prophet) was studying under her guidance the Sura Taha and also "When the Sun is Overthrown" (81:1). The polytheists used to call this reading "rubbish". When Umar came in, his sister saw that he meant mischief and hid the sheets from which they were reading. Khabbab slipped away into the house. Umar asked what was the gibberish he had heard, to which she answered that it was merely conversation between them..." (The Life of the Messenger of God)

Umar exploded in wrath at what he believed to be a prevarication, and struck his sister in her face. The blow caused her mouth to bleed. He was going to strike again but the sight of blood made him pause. He suddenly appeared to relent, and then in a changed tone asked her to show him what she was reading. She sensed a change in him but said: "You are an unclean idolater, and I cannot allow you to touch the Word of God."

Umar immediately went away, washed himself, returned to his sister's home, read the text of Qur'an, and then went to the house of Arqam where he formally accepted Islam.

Thanks to my ustaz who blow the spirit by assigned the Islamic documentary as homework, where I digressed a little bit too much by enjoying lots and lots of amazing videos.

My soul is shivering right now.

Okay,get back to work.
